The Cambria County Chapter of PASR provides a number of services for its members and the community. Here is a list of some ongoing activites in which the chapter is involved
Meet in the spring and fall for lunch and programs. Also, a picnic social in August for the members.
Award the Loretta Woodsen Award to educational professional and support individuals in our coverage area.
Recognize a chapter member for their community involvement in the Volunteer of the Year Award
Select a chapter member for the John Dillon Service Award for the chapter.
Offer numerous programs that benefit the members especially the senior members.
Encourge members to offer their time and talent to local community programs.
Honor deceased members with a contribution to the PASR Honor Fund, also, an annual Memorial Service in the fall.
Send cards and letters to member in nursing home or hospitals and visit the members
Send cards and letters to homebound members on their birthday, holidays etc. to let them know we have not forgotten them.
Participate in collecting "Books for Tots:, Food for the Local Food Pantry, Magazines and Books for local Veterans' Homes, Gifts for disadvantage children at Christmass, Package sent to Overseas Military members
Organize Day Bus Trips to historical sites, plays, shopping malls and casinos.
